Musical Jack the Ripper to start in Seoul on 15th July.

As we all have heard Jack the Ripper is an unidentified serial killer who has been actively murdering people in London during the 1880's era. Even the media and papers are unable to disclose out the real identity and the brutal killings he has committed.

Then comes in the Detective Anderson who digs and investigates into the matter seriously. Anderson excludes out the press media to avoid spotlight but soon the nosy reporter Monroe discovers the weakness in Anderson- a former cocaine addict. Hell breaks loose whereby Anderson has to suppress his anger and frustration by feeding Monroe with the clues and articles. After a series of murder, Anderson is at a brink of death when an someone appears and tells him there is a surgeon by the name of Daniel who knows the real murderer.

Soon the tabloid publishes articles on 'Jack the Ripper' warning on the London Times and it becomes a great mystery to all. When Detective Anderson tries to solve the mystery, he soon discovers more to what he has expected- another twist to the case!

Now the Musical- Jack the Ripper is coming to Seoul from 15th July and will be running until 9th October 2016. Venue will be at D-Cube Arts Center. Prices range from KRW$60,000 to KRW$130,000 for VIP Seats. The musical is 150 minutes with intermission of 20 mins.

Anderson will be played between 3 actors- Park Sung Hwan, Kim Jun Hyun and Jo Seung Yun. Daniel will be played by Uhm Ki Joon, Kai and Ryu Jung Han. As for Jack Ripper will be played by Lee Chang Hee and singer Tei. Kim Dae Jong and Jeong Eui Uk will take turns to play Monroe.

Singer Kim Bo Kyung and Kim Ye Won will be taking turns to play as Gloria- the woman who falls for Daniel.

I am quite impressed with the ensemble cast with strong musical singers/actors as the leads. For sure Kai, Uhm Ki Joon are veterans on the Broadways. Tei is a strong contestant since he is a singer and he has appeared in The Mask King program. The female vocalists were great as well.

Tickets can be purchased via Interpark Korea online.
